Last week BMW revealed the successors to the X5 M and X6 M models.
These blistering barges come equipped with a twin-turbo 4,4-litre V8 with 423kW and 750Nm on tap. BMW claims a 0-100km acceleration time of 4,2 seconds.
This week BMW has come out and stated that the X6 M is as fast as the previous-generation M3 around the Nurburgring, which completed the circuit in around eight minutes and five seconds.
It seems the Range Rover Sport SVR won’t be holding on to its fastest SUV around the ring crown for much longer.
The X5 M and X6 M will be made available in SA early in 2015.
